DAKAR

By Muttaqa Yushaú (myushau@gmail.com)

When the heart vibrates,
Eager to descend you,
For your urgent call,
As I glimpse at you
Lured by your Paris outlook
Peaceful, calm like mid night,
Dakar reminds me of Africa,
Where route of penury persists,
Is it for its shared history?
Or the colonial fiat,The elite’s mischief
We remain siblings.
Language barrier made us part
The dream to integrate a mirage
Our hearts, far million miles
ECOWAS! CEDEAO!
The challenge is beforehand.
